By enhancing professional development opportunities, Channels for Child Care Advancement, Inc. is building an effective and high-performing network of professionals committed to excellent care and education for children of Western North Carolina, ages birth to twelve.

Text Box: Since 1998, Channels for Child Care Advancement has worked to strengthen the child care profession and improve the child care and early childhood education profession in Western North Carolina. Our primary activity is the annual Western Regional Early Childhood Conference. This is the 29th consecutive year the conference has been held in Asheville. The conference is co-sponsored by Buncombe County Child Care Services and supported by Smart Start of Buncombe County, Region A Partnership for Children and other contributors.
 The 2009 Conference will be May 15-16 at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, Asheville. Over 1,200 child care providers, educators, licensing supervisors, presenters and exhibitors participate in the conference, making it one of the largest in North Carolina.
To download the 2009 WRECC Conference program, go to the NEWS—2009 Conference page (click box on left) and follow instructions. A pdf file will open and can be saved to your computer and printed. The Registration Form can also be downloaded for ease in completing on your computer. Please print the completed registration form and mail with payment per instructions on the form.
